LKAB is looking for a solution that allows them to follow and provide feedback on exactly how a product batch moves along the entire chain – in production, logistics, storage and ship loading. LKAB is open to all different types of solutions, such as sensors, simulations or data compilation from existing systems.

LKAB currently lacks a good method for using sensors, data systems or simulations to follow products or product batches all the way from the processing plant until they are loaded onto a ship in one of their ports. The ability to do this is important for both monitoring and ensuring product quality for customers. Previous attempts with new technology have not worked, as transponders, for example, have been difficult to detect in the port or have been demagnetized along the way.
