Copperstone challange

Pumping water from water-filled mine underground – with tilted borehole

Copperstone Resources is reopening a closed mine 800 meters underground, and needs to empty it of water through boreholes. Today there are solutions for pumping water through completely vertical boreholes – but if the borehole is tilted a few degrees, these pipe and pump systems do not work.

They are now looking for an efficient solution, including pipe and pump, to empty the water-filled mine. The pumping capacity should be a total of 1000m3/h and can be distributed over several shafts or holes.

Register your interest and how you intend to solve the challenge in the form below.
