Inspection of water-filled shaft – 300 m underground

Copperstone Resources is reopening a closed mine 800m underground, but needs to inspect if the pumping equipment will fit in the shaft, or if it is full of calved rock, scrap or other material.

The shafts are vertical, inclined and go down to 300m underground. They are about 2×2 m and there is no lining. They have been filled with water for a long time. Visibility is poor and there may be high pressure on the equipment.
