Sweden Innovation Days

22 –23 March 2023

It is a digital event (free of charge) and will focus on how to enable innovation that has a real impact on our society, environment and economy. Despite Sweden being a climate front runner, we still have a responsibility to contribute to the Global Goals. Swedish Mining Innovation is part of the programme on both Day 1 and Day 2.

DAY 1, March 21, 14.00-1700, Paving the way for innovation

Exploring how government agencies can foster greater innovation at all levels.

DAY 2, March 22, 14.00-17.30, Enabling innovation – The Swedish way

Highlighting how Sweden is working towards a more sustainable future.

Kl. 16.00-16.20 – Strengthening system innovation for the green transition – The Swedish way

Sustainably sourced metals and minerals are make-or-break for the green transition. So, how can actors innovate fossil-free, circular and safe societies by adopting a systems strategy? Join us as we reveal how Swedish Mining Innovation scaled a system demonstrator to innovation exports and catalyzed global impact. Together with an expert panel, we discuss how a systems approach to innovation can change value chains and solve societal missions, with sustainable mining as a case study. In our panel:

Anders Sand, Research manager Boliden Minerals
Charlotte Andersson, Programme Manager, Swedish Mining Innovation
Joanna Franzén, Strategy Lead – Missions, Vinnova
Mikael Ramström, Vice President, Digital Solutions Divisions, Epiroc

DAY 3, March 23, Creating real impact

Measuring how innovation is creating an impact and seeing real results.

Kl 10.00-10.45 – System innovations that enable the green transition – The Swedish way

During the last day, Swedish Mining Innovation is represented at a side event where our speakers explore how the actors built a system demonstrator that has created multiplier effects and catalyzed global impact. Listen to our speakers:

Charlotte Andersson, Programme Manager Swedish Mining Innovation
Jenny Greberg, Vice President Technology på LKAB
Niclas Dahlström, Project Manager, Nexgen SIMS
