Welcome to SIP STRIM Lawrence and Niclas!

Now we have strengthened SIP STRIM program office with two new colleagues! It is Lawrence Hooey who takes on the role of Technology and Innovation Manager, and Niclas Dahlström who strengthens with focus on Social Acceptance issues.

Program Director Jenny Greberg is extremely pleased with the recruitments. – We are in a position where we have a well-functioning business so it feels fantastic to be able to strengthen with two such competent people. This allows us to further increase our efforts and develop SIP STRIM as a platform for mining innovation.

Lawrence most recently comes from a position as senior researcher and business developer at the industrial research institute Swerim, and also has industry background from companies such as Rautaruukki Raahe, LKAB, Northland Resources and Australian Rio Tinto. He has a PhD from the University of Oulu and has had involvement in both European and International programs such as SPIRE, EIT RawMaterials, IEA GHG and IEA IETS.

Niclas, who in the future will divide his time between LTU Business and SIP STRIM, has many years of experience in senior roles from the business community and especially the mining industry. Niclas, who was Head of Communications and responsible for social contacts at Northland Resources, has great interest in issues related to Social Acceptance and the world’s knowledge of the mining industry.
