Expand globally – Apply for funding to attend PDAC 2026

Swedish Mining Innovation is supporting SMEs to attend at Prospectors and Developers Association Canada Convention (PDAC). The PDAC Convention is the world’s largest convention for the mineral exploration and mining industry, held annually in Toronto, Canada, by the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada. March 1-4, 2026, Toronto, Canada.

In conjunction with the convention, an event focused on innovation and collaboration is being planned. There is an opportunity for Swedish and Canadian SME’s to pitch their ideas and mingle with potential partners and customers. The preliminary program is below and will be updated periodically:

Draft Programme:

Tuesday March 3, 2026, (14:00-17:00)

• Business panel with representatives from larger Swedish and Canadian companies: Addressing needs or challenges that they are facing and seeking solutions for.

• Innovation funding landscape for joint projects & brief introductions to EU programmes and other funding sources – NRC (IRAP) and Swedish Mining and Metals (SMM)

• Swedish and Canadian SMEs pitching session

• Networking mingle

Wednesday March 4, 2026

• Visits to service and technology companies in Toronto area

Swedish SMEs are eligible to apply for an internationalization grant
[note that you can incur costs eligible from internationalization grant only once you receive the formal decision and project start date from Vinnova]

• Maximum funding: 25 000 SEK

• Maximum support level: 50%

• Deadline to apply: 23 September at 23:59 CET, 2025
